The best rides in Universal Studios Singapore

The fun is limitless inside Universal Studios Singapore (USS). Some of the most iconic cinematic worlds turn into reality in this theme park. Naturally, the elevated immersion from experiencing the theme park’s rides guarantees next-level thrills, even if you’re not a fan.

These USS rides are worth risking the long queues!

But first, how many rides are in Universal Studios Singapore?

There are over 20 rides and attractions to pick from. You’ve got high-speed, adrenaline-pumping thrillers to high-tech, sci-fi rides. And there’s something for everyone under the sun, from your little ones to grandma too – here’s a complete guide if you’re planning a trip there soon.

So without further ado, here is the ultimate Universal Studios Singapore rides list:

1. Lights, Camera, Action! Hosted by Steven Spielberg

The moment Universal Studios Singapore opens its admission gates, queues will immediately build up for Sesame Street Spaghetti Space Chase. While Elmo can be very convincing, just across is a ride created by renowned Hollywood film director Steven Spielberg. Inside Lights, Camera, Action! is a soundstage that’s actually used for filmmaking in big Hollywood studios. After a short introduction from Spielberg himself, park guests move to a film set simulating a New York boathouse struck by a hurricane.

Guests can watch the events unfold at a very safe distance. Remember this well since fire and water play a huge part in the performance. We can’t spoil any more details but we’ll leave you with a tip: Look out for the splash zone if you want to stay dry!

2. Puss In Boots' Giant Journey

While Shrek inspired the creation of Far Far Away, his feline friend Puss always had a penchant for stealing the show. And in true Puss fashion, his charms do it again in his ride, Puss in Boots’ Giant Journey.

This suspended roller coaster follows Puss on his quest to retrieve the Golden Goose from the giant that keeps it away. The castle turret it goes through might look imposing but it is one of the smoothest Universal Studios Singapore attractions.

Bonus: hop on Enchanted Airways, a kid-friendly ride that’ll give you plenty of thrills.

3. Jurassic Park Rapids Adventure

Welcome to Jurassic Park! Experience this prehistoric paradise for dinosaurs in Jurassic Park Rapids Adventure. The rapids provide a nurturing environment for the dinosaurs and visitors can observe these creatures safely. That is, until something breaches one of their containment cells.

Do note that this ride will get you wet! So either wear waterproof clothes or bring spares. There are also plastic coats sold in the queue to keep dry. Or hop inside the paid blowers for a warm breeze for your clothes.

There’s also the Canopy Flyer, a ride that’ll get you soaring high in the sky over Jurassic Park’s lost world like a pterodactyl – it’s a must-do for thrill-seekers and adventure lovers!

4. Revenge of the Mummy

One of the most thrilling attractions is Universal Studios Singapore’s mummy ride – the Revenge of the Mummy.

This imposing structure houses a rollercoaster ride that goes forward and backwards at high speed. Practical effects and projections simulate the mummy’s curse for plundering his tomb. You’ll have to find out what the curse does yourself when strapped in this incredibly fun ride!

5. Transformers: The Ride 3D

For the pinnacle of immersion, hop inside Universal Studios Singapore’s Transformers: The Ride 3D. The Autobots lead by Optimus Prime will enlist your help against the Decepticons in this ultimate 3D battle.

Much like Revenge of the Mummy, this rollercoaster goes forwards and backwards, with creative hydraulics to simulate plunging heights. The 3D glasses can be quite immersive when the Transformers converse with you! And honestly, nothing beats those incredible Michael Bay-inspired, sci-fi special effects.

Even Megatron enjoys a roasting or two as you can see below:

6. Battlestar Galactica: Human vs Cyclon

Battlestar Galactica: Human vs Cyclon

If you’re feeling extra brave, a great bonus we recommend are the dueling twin coasters Battlestar Galactica: Human vs Cyclon, one of the best things to do in Universal Studios Singapore.

They are the tallest duelling rollercoasters in the world, and you’ll definitely have more than your fair share of heart-pumping adrenaline here (if you dare, that is).

7. Sesame Street Spaghetti Space Chase

One of the best USS kids rides is the Sesame Street Spaghetti Space Chase. You and your little one can embark on a rollicking, fun-filled adventure together, chasing after Macaroni the Merciless to return all the spaghetti back to earth.

And of course, you’ll get to meet your favourite Sesame Street characters too like Elmo, Big Bird, and Super Grover.
