A Skyline Luge Sentosa itinerary:
1) Pick your Luge track and race to the finish line: There are four Luge tracks to choose from — Dragon Trail, Jungle Trail, Expedition Trail, and Kupu Kupu Trail — each designed with distinct features that will surely give you a one-of-a-kind outdoor experience.
2) Hop aboard the Skyride and enjoy panoramic views: There’s nothing quite like seeing Singapore from a different perspective. Board the Skyride chairlift to see stunning views of the city and the scenic landscape.
3) Experience the Night Luge: It’s a totally different Luge experience during sundown as the tracks come alive with vibrant lights and colours. Do note that the Night Luge only happens every Friday and Saturday nights, from 7pm to 9.30pm, so do time your visit accordingly if you want to try the Night Luge.
Before your first ride, Luge instructors will brief you on how to ride, control, and manoeuvre the purpose-built Luge carts. With its unique braking and steering system, it is fairly easy to use and does not require any skill. You just have to use the handlebars to control your speed, direction, and acceleration as you zoom downhill. Pull back on the handlebars to slow down or stop, and release them slowly to accelerate.
There are age and height restrictions to ride both the Luge and Skyride.
For Luge, children must be six years old and 100cm tall to ride alone. Children under eight years old are recommended to remain on the Jungle (Orange) track for safety concerns. Children below six years old and under 100cm tall can ride the Luge in tandem with an adult by purchasing the child doubling ticket.
As for the Skyride, children must be at least 135cm tall to ride alone. They must also be 85cm tall to ride with an adult.
For safety reasons, pregnant women are not allowed to ride the Skyride or Luge.
