The Singapore Flyer is Asia’s largest observation wheel situated in the heart of Marina Bay. Here, guests are treated to unobstructed 360-degree views of the city, 165 metres high in the sky, overlooking and some of its famous and historical landmarks. These include the Singapore River, Raffles Place, Merlion Park, Gardens by the Bay, Marina Bay Sands, Singapore National Stadium, and the Padang. The Singapore Flyer is the third largest observation wheel in the world, standing at 541 feet tall — about the height of a 42-storey skyscraper. It is superseded by The United Arab Emirates’ Ain Dubai Ferris Wheel (820 feet) and the High Roller (550 feet) in Las Vegas, USA.

5. How do I get there?

Singapore Flyer is located in the Downtown Core district of Singapore at 30 Raffles Avenue. Its strategic location allows easy access for visitors arriving via public or private transportation. If you’re travelling via your personal vehicle, Singapore Flyer has a multi-storey car park with 284 lots and three handicapped parking spaces – you can check out more about parking rates here.

For those who are opting to commute via MRT, alight at Exit A of Promenade Station (CC4/DT15) then simply follow the pedestrian signs leading to the Flyer. Alternatively, the nearest bus stop is located opposite Ritz-Carlton (Bus Stop 02171).

What is the capacity limit for each Singapore Flyer capsule?

Singapore Flyer has 28 fully air-conditioned capsules, each of which can accommodate up to 28 passengers. While guests can bring small bags and pouches aboard the Flyer, those with bulky items such as luggages and backpacks are obliged to leave them by the entrance.

Can you bring food and drinks aboard the Singapore Flyer?

Food and beverages purchased outside are strictly not allowed inside the Singapore Flyer capsules.

What is inside each Singapore Flyer capsule?

All 28 capsules are equipped with two LED monitors which are programmed to screen FLYER360+, “a multi-media in-capsule experience.” Guests will have access to four small detachable benches where they can sit and rest. Additionally, each capsule comes with a couple of safety features which include 2 security cameras, one fire detector, one smoke detector, and one intercom system.

How long does a ride take?

A ride on the Singapore Flyer grants you one rotation which takes approximately 30 minutes. On the other hand, those aboard the Sky Flyer Sky Dining will enjoy two rotations or 60 minutes on board.

What provisions are there for wheelchair-bound guests and pregnant women?

Singapore Flyer features ramps, elevators, and toilets to make it easier for wheelchair users to enter and exit the Flyer. Moreover, there are parking slots right next to the elevator reserved for persons with disabilities.

Of course, pregnant women are allowed to ride the Singapore Flyer; however, those who are in the latter stages of pregnancy are highly encouraged to board the flyer with an aide.
