KL’s Zoo Negara ticket price includes admission to the Giant Panda Conservation Centre. If you are into pandas, it’s where you can find Xing Xing and Liang Liang, the zoo’s famous giant pandas. You can also find the super adorable Sheng Yi, the giant panda cub who has been on exhibition since December 2021.

Besides checking out adorable pandas in the zoo, your entrance ticket also includes access to other cool places. These include the Reptile House, Bear Complex, Savannah Walk, Mammal Kingdom, and animal shows.

Tickets can be redeemed the next day when you arrive at the zoo. For Malaysians looking to get tickets at a discounted price, bring along your ID just to be safe.

Zoo Negara ticket promotions

Those visiting with children will get special discounts on the zoo’s ticket price.

There’s the 2 adult + 1 child family bundle (which covers admission and access to the Panda Centre).

You can also get a similar 2 adult + 2 children family bundle at a slightly more expensive price. One important note is that only Malaysians may purchase a family bundle ticket.

Children under three and visitors with disabilities enjoy free admission.

And good news if you’re planning to celebrate your birthday at the zoo. Since Feb 2023, the zoo has introduced a birthday promotion. Visitors with Malaysian IDs can enter the zoo for free on their birthday or within 30 days of their birthday.

There are two tram stations in the zoo. If you’re tired of walking, taking a tram from one of these stations will be your best option.

At Tram Station 1, the adult price depends on your ID. The price is RM 8.90 for those with Malaysian identity cards, and RM 11.90 for those without. For children, the price is RM 5.90 for those with Malaysian identity cards, and RM 9.90 for those without.

And at Tram Station 2, the price again varies for both adults and children.
