Animal shows at River Wonders Singapore
Observing the mightiest rivers of the world can be fascinating. Some of these are cradles of life for most civilizations, after all. River Wonders Singapore (formerly known as River Safari Singapore) in Mandai Wildlife Reserve can provide a slice of what life is like along the Nile, Amazon, and Yangtze Rivers.
(P.S. — These shows will make the River Wonders ticket price worth it, too.
Let’s look at the manatee. These marine creatures were popular targets for hunters, resulting in dwindling population numbers. Fortunately, thanks to the efforts of the folks at River Wonders, the manatee population grew back to healthy numbers. So the answer is a resounding yes!
You can head to Manatee Mania to see these River Safari animals up close, and maybe even feed one!
Naturally, one of the best River Wonders activities to do is go on a boat ride. Amazon River Quest is a simple boat ride through environs simulating the Nile, Amazon, Yangtze and Ganges Rivers. You’ll get to see different kinds of animals, such giant river otters and maybe even a giant freshwater stingray!

Some of the riverside critters in the expansive reserve would love to interact with their visitors. Meet these creatures performing at Once Upon A River, which include pelicans, hedgehogs, pythons, and the very adorable capybara. The hornbill also appears to showcase its famous wits.
The presentation is lovely and wholesome fun, so don’t miss out! The show time of this River Wonders (or River Safari) performance is 11.30am, 2.30pm, and 4.30pm daily.
Seeing a panda at River Wonders is always a sight to behold. They’re big and cuddly, and their adorable black and white fur patterns stand out greatly.

The reserve takes great pride in providers of homes to its big furry residents, and you can find these black-and-white critters at the Giant Panda forest.
The giant pandas include Kai Kai and Jia Jia (since a decade ago), and Le Le, their strong young cub born in 2021. By going through the Panda-Mania Tour, visitors can learn the lengths that the reserve went to nurture these pandas.
Keeping in mind River Wonders’ opening hours, you can board the 15-minute River Cruise for gorgeous sunsets across Seletar Reservoir. The River Cruise travels between Singapore Zoo and Night Safari, letting you catch the adorable sight of giraffes and elephants!
