It was a bit irritating, to be honest. Good things first: we got picked up in the right place, the driver was friendly and drove us safely to where we wanted to go. BUT: the booking process was somewhat complicated. When booking on pelago I just booked an SUV car to seat the 4 of us. I was never prompted to enter passenger details. Next, some Lady from Ulacar contacted me via Whatsapp to clarify the details. She was very sursprised to learn that we were 2 kids and 2 adults and she said she had to check back. Then we were practically forced to pay another 25 USD for 2 child seats (she told us it’s the law). Many messages back and forth. When the driver picked us up he told us „yeah you can use the seats or not, it‘s up to you“ and the seats he produced were ridiculous, just some sort of plate to sit on and help guide the belt a bit. Nothing that‘s worth 25$, really. Then when we got to our destination the driver asked us to pay, however, we had payed via Pelago already. It was not his fault, he was a Grab driver who just got booked by this coordinating lady. We really hope the driver got payed by this company in the end. It felt like a scam to us and overall it was just a stressful experience. Fact: if we‘d just booked a Grab ourselves it would have saved us money, time and stress.
