Highlights
Spend a night in a tent under a blanket of stars and build a campfire in the middle of the peaceful Serongga village, located on the base of Mount Batur. Hike up the mountain the next morning to witness a beautiful sunrise from Mt. Batur's summit before dipping into the volcano's natural hot springs to soothe all your aches and pains. Itinerary
Pick Up (12:30PM)
Get picked up by an air-conditioned van at your hotel at 12:30PM.Hike
Set off from the village of Toya Bungaka on Mount Batur.Camp preparation
Set up tents when you reach an altitude of 1,500 metres above sea level.Sunset hike
Hike for 15-20 minutes to the summit of Mt Batur and watch the sunset at the top of the volcano.Snack
Enjoy a simple meal (typically banana cooked with the steam of the volcano) and hot Balinese coffee and tea.Campfire dinner (7:00PM)
Cook dinner back at camp and try local Arak Bali and Brem wines around the campfire.
Watch the sunrise (7:00AM)
Pack up your camping gear before the tourists arrive, then catch the magnificent sunrise from the mountain.Volcano hike
Hike to the three main craters of the volcano to see the recent black lava flow.Hot springs (entrance fee included)
End the day by soaking in the natural hot springs of Batur to relax and recharge your mind in nature.Drop Off (12:00PM)
