$25 Discover Singapore Pass Guide
What we love about Singapore:
As far as countries go, Singapore is as tiny and as global as they come. Sunny all year round, this tropical city-state is an eclectic fusion of the old and new, where modern high-rise buildings that would not look out of place in a sci-fi movie sit side-by-side with charming shophouses.
Factor in the multi-racial and multi-religious society, the efficient transport system, Singlish, hawker culture, colonial buildings, and the world’s best airport (with a swimming pool and indoor fountain), and there are many reasons why Singapore is awesome.
In the Lion City, you won’t be just experiencing Asia. You will see why the world calls Singapore home.
Is it your first time in Singapore? Here’s what you need to know:
Don’t worry if it’s your first time in Singapore. Travelling around on this tiny island is fuss-free and easy to handle, whether on a solo trip or in a big group. Here are some good things to know beforehand:
The weather in Singapore:
Locals consistently joke that Singapore only has two seasons – the hot and wet. The weather is typically hot and humid throughout the year, with temperatures regularly hovering around 30°C. Rainfall is also quite common and can happen anytime, so bring around an umbrella with you everywhere to be safe.
Language-wise, you can speak English to most Singaporeans. However, plenty of the population is also fluent in a second language like Mandarin, Malay, and Tamil. And of course, there’s Singlish too – a colourful myriad of different dialects that only locals (or well-acquainted foreigners) are familiar with.
Getting around in Singapore:
Transport is simple and affordable in Singapore. You can take a bus, taxi, or hop on the MRT. The latter is probably the most effective way to hit all the major landmarks. Think City Hall, Orchard, Marina Bay, and the CBD. But buses are a great alternative to explore the nooks and crannies of the city, while private cars or taxis via the Grab, Gojek, or ComfortDelGro apps offer a more comfortable way of getting from point A to B.
Is travelling in Singapore expensive?
Singapore is, believe it or not, surprisingly affordable. All you need to know is where to look and how to get the best bang for your buck.
Sure, you can live it up Crazy Rich Asians-style if you’d wish. You would have no shortage of luxury stores to visit or high-end restaurants to splurge on. You can even enjoy private dining in a stranger’s home.
But saving in the city is easy too. You can enjoy wallet-friendly meals at hawker centres (open-air food complexes). And there are plenty of things to do under $10 as well. But to really make the most of your time and money, there’s the $25 Discover Singapore Pass.
What is the $25 Discover Singapore Pass?
The $25 Discover Singapore Pass is an all-access pass that lets you mix and match activities and attractions from 32 attractions for $25, essentially as many as you can fit into a single day.
Instead of going around and making purchases for individual attractions, say Gardens by the Bay or the S.E.A. Aquarium, the pass lets you enjoy redemptions of activities for a period of 24 hours after the first redemption.
Best of all, you’ll get better deals lower than the usual prices of admission tickets, including some of the city’s best attractions, including the Singapore Zoo, National Gallery Singapore, and the ArtScience Museum.

How do you use the pass?
If you are the sort that loves customising an itinerary, then this pass is right up your alley.
Basically, how the pass works is simple. The more activities you add, the more you will save – for some combinations of attractions, you can enjoy savings of up to 80%. You can even earn or redeem KrisFlyer miles for every booking you make too. All you need is a valid Singapore Airlines ticket, and you can start exploring the best of the city on a budget.
However, pre-booking slots might be mandatory for certain activities. Click here to find out more. We recommend that you head to the specific website of each attraction for updates on things like timings and admissions.
Your first step would be to make a valid Singapore Airlines flight booking. Then, head to your inbox and check your mail for your flight booking reference number (PNR). Make your booking on Pelago. And at the checkout page, enter your PNR and last name. You will get a confirmation email within 24 hours from Pelago with an attached voucher.
