Operator contacted me 1 day before to arrange time for pickup, food was provided from breakfast to dinner. Towels were provided with 300baht deposit, reached Phuket around 7.30pm! 3 tour guides for a speeedboat of 60 pax was sufficient and time given at each attraction was adequate too!
The whole trip was perfectly organised. We were picked up on time, taken care of with breakfast, lunch, water, snacks and a treat afterwards. The staff was amazing! Our English speaking tour guide was so kind, funny and clearly very passionate and enthousiastic. We had an amazing time, if we would definitely book again if we returned.
I was extremely disappointed. The food was absolutely horrible. The hygiene needs a lot of attention/improvement. No soap in the bathrooms, no napkins at lunch time and the food almost reminded me of jail food. You know the kind you see in movies with the tin tray that has dividers. It would of ran more smoothly if they just did a buffet. Also the taxi ride home was horrible. When we got off the boat they assigned us to our same taxi driver that brought us to the Marina. He turned us down and was arguing with the person in charge of the excursion to send us to another driver. That was a 5 minute conversation going back in forth between the driver and the excursion director. When we got put into a different taxi we waited 25 minutes in our taxi before we left. We had 4 other people join the taxi ride. A 1 hour ride to our resort ended up taking 2 hours. Mind you the people who were in our taxi got dropped off 20 minutes from our resort. This was a horrible experience and I would not book with this company again.
While the Similan islands are beautiful this tour is a very long day from Phuket with a 6am hotel pick up and 8pm drop off and 5 hours of transport (1.5hrs each way in an uncomfortable transfer van (full of mosquitos) and 1hr each way on a cramped speed boat). We also had to sit around for over an hour before the trip and 30 mins afterwards. The staff are energetic and fun but it can’t make up for the overcrowding, time wasting at head office and questionable lunch. Find a smaller tour operator for a better experience.
