Located in the deep south of Phuket, sunrises and sunsets make Promthep Cape a much adored landmark during the day.

The road trip includes the island’s most important religious site, the glistering Wat Chalong. The renowned monastery housing bronze images of the monks Luang Pho Chaem and Luang Pho Chuang, who are highly respected by Phuket inhabitants.

A guided tour into Phuket Town brings forward the Sino-Portuguese style influences, and there is also an opportunity to shop at one of the local markets or boutiques. Phuket town was originally settled about a century ago by Chinese residents of Malaysia who were drawn to the lucrative mineral deposits. Tin and rubber fortunes created by the great rush formed the great Sino-Thai dynasties, which still dominate the economies of southern Thailand.
